About Acai
The most exciting fruit in the world at the moment is called Acai. This amazing antioxidant grows from the Acai Palms, mostly found in humid swamps ranging from around Belize in Central America, to as far south as Peru and Brazil. According to Monavie, a popular health drink containing the famous Acai, the nutrients in the Acai fruit are more powerful than any other fruit currently known to man, and in the freeze-dried state, they may be right.

Acai (say it this way: asa?i or ah-saw-ee) belongs to the Euterpe genus, which stems from Greek mythology and the legendary muse Euterpe, meaning “Giver of Delight”. When you taste this lucious berry you’ll understand why.
Though the taste is superb, and when combined with the numerous other ingredients in Monavie, the beverage may improve energy, in it’s commercialized form, Acai is really no more powerful of an antioxidant than black cherry or cranberry juice. Unless it’s taken in the freeze-dried form, it’s actually lower in antioxidants than palmegranate, blueberry, Concord grape juice or red wine. (Reference) But it sure tastes great!

Mixed with Granola in parts of Brazil, Acai is used for energy or as a quick pick-me-up. There isn’t anything magical about Acai, but this yummy fruit coupled with the many other Monavie ingredients is irresistable to the palet and still a very healthy alternative to sodas, coffee, or sugar-filled beverages.
